TARUN DESAI is the Chief Executive Officer of Tech Excel Computer Services. He
has about 20 years experience in designing and implementing computer systems.
He is recognized as an "expert" in computerization of marketing activities of pharmaceuticals. He has gained in-depth knowledge of this application based on his interaction with number of leading companies such as Johnson & Johnson, Abbott, Lupin, Unichem, Novartis, etc.
He was the consultant for designing an integrated information management system for garment manufacturing for Miltons.
He designed a CRM system for Prime Products.
Mr. Tarun Desai is also the CEO of Prime Products, a company engaged in distributing a wide range of rechargeable batteries in India. Prime Products follows an elaborate system to test and recharge batteries which results in their product performing better than other suppliers. He has published several papers related to batteries and battery market.
He is also involved in marketing products for bio-separation under TECH-EXCEL. TECH-EXCEL represents Prometic Biosciences in India.
He got his M.S. in Chemical Engineering from University of Kentucky (USA) in 1979.Before this he got B.Tech in Chemical Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology,Kanpur in 1976. w
He worked in USA with Energy & Environmental Analysis, Inc. Consulting company for 6 years (1979-1985) before returning to India. During this period, he was involved in energy and environmental related evaluation studies. This provided him capabilities to quickly assess various technical issues.
He is active in various organizations such as Lions Club and alumni association of IIT-Kanpur in Mumbai.
